Greater South East Net Zero Hub

Who are the Greater South East Net Zero Hub?

The Greater South East Net Zero Hub (GSENZH) is a regional, government-funded initiative that works with local authorities and other public sector organisations and their stakeholders.

They support the development and enable the financing of local net zero projects. These projects encompass local power generation, heat and buildings, transport and local energy systems.

GSENZH also support the delivery of government-funded local net zero programmes such as community energy development, domestic retrofit schemes among others.

Our collaboration

The Greater South East Net Zero Hub and UK Power Networks DSO have partnered to support the 133 local authorities within our shared region to achieve their net zero goals.

We work together to ensure that local authorities have visibility and access to the most up-to-date data, information and tools to help them in their decarbonisation planning, activities and efforts. We also support local authorities through one-to-one engagement and account management.

So far, the Greater South East Net Zero Hub has featured in our annual Regional Engagement Sessions, monthly newsletters and webinars. The Greater South East Net Zero Hub has also been key contributor to the development of the Energy Toolkit and the energy planning tool as well as user of the tool in the development of local authority projects.

Looking forward, we are continuing our collaboration, supporting the development of new digital tools across our organisations, featuring in podcasts, participating in key events organised by both organisations and above all supporting our local authorities through coordinated engagement.
