UK100
Who are UK100?
UK100’s primary purpose is to support a locally led rapid transition to Net Zero.
To accelerate action, they bring together the most influential leaders across the country to learn together and agree on priorities for legislative and regulatory change while empowering them to engage with national decision-makers.
Our partnership
UK Power Networks DSO and UK100 have built a strong partnership to help local leaders and officers navigate a rapidly evolving, smarter and more locally responsive energy system. Together, we empower local authorities to shape this transition, adopt innovative technologies, reduce emissions, cut costs, and deliver meaningful community benefits.
In 2024, our collaboration delivered events, workshops, and joint initiatives, culminating in the Energy Toolkit “Navigating the Net Zero Energy Transition”, which provides practical steps for elected leaders and officers to advance their Net Zero plans.
Our partnership strengthened further in 2025 through new guidance, shared expertise, and practical tools. We sponsored UK100’s report, “Beyond Targets: The Wider Benefits of Climate Action”, reinforcing our commitment to a clean energy future powered by local leadership. We also worked with UK100 and Cenex on “Powering Local EV Infrastructure: A Guide for Councils”, helping authorities plan and deliver EV charging in ways that drive decarbonisation and local economic value.
In 2026, we delivered another milestone “Unlocking Flexibility: A Guide for Local Authorities”, offering clear steps to participate in flexibility markets, unlock new value streams, and support more dynamic local energy systems.
Together, these resources provide a comprehensive suite of tools, from Net Zero strategy and energy planning to EV infrastructure and flexibility services, ensuring local authorities are equipped to lead the transition to a modern and resilient energy system.
