4. Data Sharing
This is towards the end of the LAEP timeline. You have worked with your stakeholders to set the decarbonisation pathway for the local area, and now have output data you want to share with stakeholders.

How to upload data onto our tools
ChargePoint Navigator
ChargePoint Navigator has a data uploader allowing a user to upload geospatial data onto the tool for visualisation. For example, this could be car park locations or priority areas for charge point installation.
LAEP+
LAEP+ has a data uploader function as well, the details of which you can read about on this article.
How to share LAEP data with us
The LAEP Support framework is the process by which we include forecast data in our network development plans. We have six different ways in which you can share forecast data with us, which you can read about in detail on our six simple ways to share page.
As a LAEP practitioner, likely the most appropriate route would be the data dictionary.
What we do with your data once shared
Once your forecast data generated through your LAEP collaboration is shared, we work with you and your local authority to progress through our LAEP support framework.
There are two elements of this that you may be involved in:
- Materiality Assessment: We analyse the local forecast to determine if its energy requirements exceed our current forecasts
- Confidence Assessment: We work to understand the evidence underpinning the forecast
The table below outlines the roles for UK Power Networks, LAEP Practitioners, and local authorities in these two assessments.
| Assessment | UKPN role | LAEP Practitioner role | Local authority role |
| Materiality | Analyses data | Shares data in correct format | Provides contextual information |
| Confidence | Collects evidence | Answers technical questions | Provides governance and project pipeline information |
